Boswell Safe and Vault Inc. has been involved in many aspects of the safe industry for over 25 years. We have had experience in manufacturing, retail sales as well as repairs, moving & installation. We meticulously inspect and refurbish all our used safes for sale and offer exceptional customer service so that you can get a dependable safe that meets your security needs.

We would be happy to guide you in identifying the most important qualities you should look for in a used or new safe. We can help you with the tough decisions, such as “Should I get a digital lock or a dial lock?”, “What rating of fire-protection do I need?” & “How big of a safe do I really need?” We will consider factors such as the types of items you wish to secure, your required level of protection, and the available installation space.

We also provide used gun safes to securely store firearms and ammunition. These safes come equipped with features like fire resistance, heavy-duty locks, and robust construction. Because used gun safes are cost-effective, purchasing one can give you access to higher quality, more durable models that might otherwise be out of your budget.

We have a comprehensive understanding of our inventory of used safes for sale because we work on them directly. All of the used safes that we have come through our shop are dissembled and thoroughly looked through for any issues by our certified safe technicians. Typically we replace the lock with a new unit to ensure no issues down the line. Safe bolt-works are lubricated as need and doors are checked for sage or excessive wear on hinge components. Buying a used safe will save you a significant amount of money compared to a new unit and will give you decades of trouble free service.

National Security Magnum 32 – Used

This used 1997 National Security Magnum 32 is in incredible condition. This safe has very few cosmetic blemishes and comes equipped with both the original shelved interior and an aftermarket gun rack. Its mechanical dial lock has been inspected and is in excellent working order. Judging by the original shelves, lock, and handles, this safe looks like it was hardly used at all. These safes were top of the line in the late 90's and this one is equipped with several uncommon and very desirable factory options: The 1" laminate plate steel door, 1/4" outer body, and additional inner steel liner really set this apart from other home/gun safes. This safe is an incredible example of what National Security used to build, and is considered to be a collector's item among many safe experts.

Their high security key locks are very unique and it's really cool to see a safe with it installed. The dual lock configuration was an option from the factory and both locks must be operated to open the safe, providing an additional level of security. We’ve attached pictures of the original brochure for these safes so you can see how they’re constructed. These Fichet TL-30 models are built well past standard TL-30 specifications, including defenses on all six sides against tools and torches. Their composite construction also provides excellent fire protection. It is ready to go back into service for a long time. Treasury Millennium Composite Body TRTL-30×6 Safe – Ultra High Security

These TRTL-30x6 rated safes are built to withstand even the most sophisticated attacks from both professional level tools and torches. With the recent shift in Jewelers Mutual's insurance requirements, almost all high end jewelers have been required to get safes of this caliber to retain their coverage. Considering what a similarly rated new safe costs (Compare to the ISM TRTL-30x6 ST683119 at $24,000), a used safe like this in good condition is very difficult to beat at this price. This is one of Amsec's best safes, it is a TL-30 with a composite build giving it an incredible 2 hour fire rating at 1,850°F. This particular unit has been refurbished by us with a full factory quality paintjob retaining all of the original logos and ID tags, has had both locks replaced, and the mechanism fully inspected and serviced. It's ready to go back to work! The optional factory installed dual lock configuration adds the security of a secondary high security key, protected by its own hardplate in addition to an internal glass re-locker, that must be used in conjunction with the dial lock to open the safe. Composite construction TL-30 safes offer all of the security we've come to expect from a TL-30 with the added benefit of a 2 hour fire rating. With one of our nicer used composite TL-30 safes, you get all of the benefits of a new safe but at a fraction of the cost and with much quicker availability. This safe brand new can cost upwards of $10,000 and could take several months to get built.

Fichet-Bauche Composite Body TL-30 Safe

This Fichet-Bauche Giant Jewelers TL-30 is in great condition. It is equipped with a dual lock configuration, which was an option from the factory, and the locks are defended by an impressive manganese steel hard-plate. Both locks must be operated to open the safe, providing an additional level of security. We've attached pictures of the original brochure for these safes so you can see how they're constructed. These "TL-30 Plus" models are built well past standard TL-30 specifications, including defenses on all six sides against tools and torches. Their composite construction also provides excellent fire protection. It is ready to go back into service for a long time. These French made safes were built specifically for the U.S. market and were tested accordingly by Underwriter's Laboratories (U.L.). They are extremely well-built, competing with brands like ISM, Mutual, and Amsec. One of our used composite body TL-30 safes gives you all of the security measures that you get from the TL-30 rating, as well as the added benefit of fire protection. Almost all newer composite body TL-30 safes come with a 2 hour or better fire rating. While some companies may not have paid to get the older units officially tested, most composite body TL-30s made in the last 50 years can easily withstand a 60 to 90 minute fire. This makes used composite body TL-30's considerably more desirable, especially for our residential customers who are looking for TL-30 security as well as fire protection.

Mutual safes are highly regarded in the commercial market and this one is no different, with a VERY impressive TL-30x6 UL security rating. A used composite body TL rated safe gives you all of the security measures that you get from the security rating, as well as the added benefit of fire protection from its concrete composite lining. This safe does not have an official fire tag present, but similarly built composite body TL safes are very rarely rated at anything below 2 hours. This makes used composite body TL-30's considerably more desirable, especially for our residential customers who are looking for ultra high security as well as fire protection.
