Mutual safes are highly regarded in the commercial market and this one is no different, with a VERY impressive TL-30x6 UL security rating. A used composite body TL rated safe gives you all of the security measures that you get from the security rating, as well as the added benefit of fire protection from its concrete composite lining. This safe does not have an official fire tag present, but similarly built composite body TL safes are very rarely rated at anything below 2 hours. This makes used composite body TL-30's considerably more desirable, especially for our residential customers who are looking for ultra high security as well as fire protection. These safes are the best of the best, far superior to any modern tool rated safe. They, quite literally, "don't make them like they used to." The Chatwood-Milner Monarch series of safes are oxyacetylene, explosive, and drill resistive. These safes were made in England and far surpassed any UL rating that existed in the US at the time, the nearest rating that exists would be a TRTL-30x6. Their incredibly unique design features a ONE PIECE cast body encasing a 2 inch thick solid layer of torch and drill resistant armor and a 7.5" thick door containing another 2 inch thick solid layer of armor with 2 & 7/8" total metal thickness in the door. This design was so brilliant and incredibly strong, it led Chubb to purchase Chatwood-Milner to acquire the rights to the design. Many safes produced by Chubb after the merger featured similar design concepts and some Chubb safes were even branded as Chatwood Milner but these pre-merger safes are the most desirable. We have fully refurbished these safes. All of their locks have been inspected and serviced by a certified expert safe & vault technician and they have been given a full factory-quality paintjob.
