Boswell Safe and Vault Inc. has been involved in many aspects of the safe industry for over 25 years. We have had experience in manufacturing, retail sales as well as repairs, moving & installation. We meticulously inspect and refurbish all our used safes for sale and offer exceptional customer service so that you can get a dependable safe that meets your security needs.

We would be happy to guide you in identifying the most important qualities you should look for in a used or new safe. We can help you with the tough decisions, such as “Should I get a digital lock or a dial lock?”, “What rating of fire-protection do I need?” & “How big of a safe do I really need?” We will consider factors such as the types of items you wish to secure, your required level of protection, and the available installation space.

We also provide used gun safes to securely store firearms and ammunition. These safes come equipped with features like fire resistance, heavy-duty locks, and robust construction. Because used gun safes are cost-effective, purchasing one can give you access to higher quality, more durable models that might otherwise be out of your budget.

We have a comprehensive understanding of our inventory of used safes for sale because we work on them directly. All of the used safes that we have come through our shop are dissembled and thoroughly looked through for any issues by our certified safe technicians. Typically we replace the lock with a new unit to ensure no issues down the line. Safe bolt-works are lubricated as need and doors are checked for sage or excessive wear on hinge components. Buying a used safe will save you a significant amount of money compared to a new unit and will give you decades of trouble free service.

RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY: There is no warranty on used or refurbished safes although Boswell ensures the safes are delivered in good working condition at the time of delivery. No returns or exchanges on used or refurbished safes. Refunds will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Manufacturer warranty applies only to new parts installed.

Sportsman Steel 72″x60″ Gun Safe – Used

This gigantic Sportsman Steel safe is a great way to store a lot on a budget. Its interior is in good shape for its age and it has accommodations for approx 28 rifles in the center and plenty of shelf space for ammo, documents, or other valuables. It has a 5/16" steel door and 1/4" outer steel body, which make it very stout compared to anything else on the market near this size and price. There is no official fire rating tag due to its age, but our best guess would be approximately 1 hour of fire resistance given the body's layer of insulation and the seal around the door.

Amsec Amvault CF1814 Composite Body TL-30 Safe

This safe is an American Security Amvault CF1814, the smallest TL-30 safe American Security makes. Composite construction TL-30 safes offer all of the security we've come to expect from a TL-30 with the added benefit of a 2 hour fire rating. This safe is badged as an Allied Security safe but was built for them by American Security. It is a custom sized CE Amvault. Amsec's Amvault Composite body TL-15 gives you all of the protection of the TL-15 burglary rating as well as an incredible 2 hour fire rating at 1850°F. These are some of our most desirable TL rated safes, especially for residential customers looking for a real, heavy duty safe to protect their belongings. This safe came to us with internal lockers that were non-functioning so those have been removed and the safe has received a full repaint with factory grade industrial paint. National Security Magnum 32 – Used

This used 1997 National Security Magnum 32 is in incredible condition. This safe has very few cosmetic blemishes and comes equipped with both the original shelved interior and an aftermarket gun rack. Its mechanical dial lock has been inspected and is in excellent working order. Judging by the original shelves, lock, and handles, this safe looks like it was hardly used at all. These safes were top of the line in the late 90's and this one is equipped with several uncommon and very desirable factory options: The 1" laminate plate steel door, 1/4" outer body, and additional inner steel liner really set this apart from other home/gun safes. This safe is an incredible example of what National Security used to build, and is considered to be a collector's item among many safe experts.

This safe has a few cosmetic paint blemishes but is very well equipped with both the original shelved interior and an aftermarket flexible gun interior. It also has LED lighting, a dehumidifier, and an American Security ESL-10 electronic lock. These are very well built home/office/gun safes with a 1/2" solid plate steel door and two layers of body steel encasing a poured-in fire lining. Equipped like this in their two tone finish (textured body with a gloss door), a new BF6030 costs upwards of $5,500. This is your chance to get a high end safe for a very reasonable investment!

This is an American Vault Class I Modular bank vault that came out of a closing bank branch in Pasadena, CA. The vault was professionally disassembled and removed by our crew and then transported to our facility for storage. We have all necessary panels needed to reassemble. Everything was verified to be in good working order before disassembly and the door has remained packaged up and stored indoors. This includes the full vault with all necessary panels, door frame, and vault door. The door that is pictured is the door that will go with this vault. This is a Class 1 Bank Vault, which is equivalent to a TL-30 rated safe. We can offer full vault installation services and can install anywhere in CA, AZ, or NV. The price of the vault does not include freight or installation. For installation we need good forklift access to and surrounding the space with at least 1 foot of open space above the vault to maneuver the ceiling panels into place.
